Meeting your driver at Geneva

We track your flight, so the pickup follows the aircraft rather than the schedule. The driver meets you inside the terminal and takes you to the vehicle. Give us the flight number when you book, and tell us if you are arriving on the Swiss or the French side of the airport.

The drive to Meribel

The road runs south from Geneva past Annecy and Albertville, then into the Tarentaise valley as far as Moutiers. From Moutiers the climb to Meribel takes around half an hour, up through Les Allues and into the valley that Meribel occupies.

Meribel is the middle of the Three Valleys and the road up is a working mountain road, not a motorway. In snow it is slower, and on a bad day chains come out. This is normal winter driving in the Tarentaise and it is what the drivers do all season.

Saturdays in the Three Valleys

Saturday is changeover day for almost every property in the valley, and it shows on the road between Albertville and Moutiers. Journeys take longer, the resort road is busy with arriving and departing guests, and the timing needs more slack in both directions. The Saturday price reflects that.

Standard or VIP

Standard seats up to eight, VIP up to seven in a higher specification vehicle with more room once ski bags are in. For groups beyond one vehicle, the booking prices the number of vehicles required.

Children, skis and luggage

Child seats come at no extra charge when requested at booking – tell us the ages. Skis, snowboards and large bags should be declared too, so the vehicle that turns up has space for the equipment as well as the passengers.

Arriving in Meribel

Meribel spreads over several levels and neighbouring villages: Meribel Centre, the older village of Les Allues below it, and Meribel-Mottaret higher up the valley. They are distinct places with their own access roads, so the exact address matters. Many Meribel chalets sit on steep side roads where a larger coach simply cannot go, which is one of the practical arguments for a private vehicle.

Going home

Return legs are priced by the day they fall on and can be booked together with the outbound. For the way back we work from your flight time and build in the descent, the traffic and the extra time that ski luggage adds at check-in.
