The closest airport to the Three Valleys

Chambery sits at the mouth of the Tarentaise valley, so the drive to the resorts skips the long approach from Geneva or Lyon entirely. For a short break, where the transfer can be a meaningful slice of the trip, that difference is worth real money in time.

The trade-off is flights: Chambery is largely a winter charter airport, with a concentrated Saturday schedule and limited options midweek. If the flight works, it is the fastest way into the Three Valleys.
